| Mobilise 07` |
[Oct. 13th, 2007|06:43 pm] |
CCC Robina has our first ever youth events - Mobilise.
Yeah. Pastor Josh Kelsey from CCC Oxford Falls (The place where we get most of our songs) came over and speak to us. I had a chat with him last night and it's great knowing such a person. He's just so inspiring, so real as a person. Most of all, his love for people is the one that all of us can feel.
We had a leaders' breakfast this morning at 7.30a.m. (That's what I call early). Most of the people are wide awake at that time. I was one of those who can stone at such an hour. Well, we had a great breakfast.
Shortly after our short breakfast, Josh spoke to us..
He has built his leadership of his young adults' ministry based on this two things
1) A leader aggressively seeks people 2) Do I need following up? - If you need, then you're a follower.
We don't need to have the titles to lead or to care for someone else, just love will do. As for the second point, he inspire us to go beyond our roles. Like so what if it's not my job. If it means that people get saved, but it may not be your job to do so, go against the flow.
Christ didn't have to die for our sins, but He went the extra mile and did whatever He has to do. Leaders are initiators.
After this great entree, we went on to have 4 more power pack sessions and I reached home at around 3p.m. Ha ha. Yeah. It was a powerful day and it's a great way to start my day.
I will most probably be going to Sydney, CCC Oxford Fall next year! Ha ha. For their conference! Woo. It's extremely exciting and I'm looking forward to it. I will be bringing back some brochures to show all of you! Ha ha.
Ok that's all. Happy birthday to Zhuo Xinyi.....19yrs of age. As of now, I have known her for 6years 10 mths 12 days.

| Sumptuous Idea. |
[Oct. 10th, 2007|11:36 pm] |
I made breakfast for myself today! Great Ideas just flow. I like eggs and mushroom. So, I mixed both of them together and it turned out to be heavenly. I enjoy cooking and more importantly, I do enjoy eating.
I'll post the pictures of my very first scrambled eggs with mushroom here! I also made two toast and microwaved four bacons. Add some butter on the toast, and this is one of the best breakfast I ever had (Made by myself).

I watched a great movie today - The Patroit. It's a movie about the British Redcoats attacking the America during the America revolution How great can you get? Yeah. It starred Mel Gibson and Heath Ledger (Better known as the guy in Brokeback) But Heath Ledger is only 20-21 in this movie.
Inspiring, captivating and fascinating. Without a doubt, I'll give a 5-star rating for this movie!
My thoughts.

| Satisfaction. |
[Oct. 10th, 2007|07:39 am] |
I'm only barely 5 weeks into my first semester and I'm piled up with loads of WORK. However, I really enjoy working..
Talking about studies, Communication Skills is fun. Communication is so important. To be able to communicate well is an art. Either by speech or by writing, or both! I love speaking and writing these days. Probably that's because of my encouraging tutor who gives me a lot of encouragement, assuring me that I'm doing well. It's the small things that counts.
I have aplenty of revelation while I am here. Truly, no human can satisfy us. Human love and attention can only give us temporal satisfaction. However, that doesn't mean that we cut off all forms of communication. What we should get out of a relationship/ friendship is the friendship itself. The only satisfaction comes from God, the creator of satisfaction, love and desire.
Back home..... i'm missing my darling like crazy. It's been more than 6 weeks since I last saw her.
I hope that she's still sitting in my room.......
Ha ha. it's meant to confuse you folks.
The Simpsons are the best TV Series that I have ever watched. Even though it just centres around the Simpsons' family, every episode is a great lesson about family. It depicts a true family and something that is relevant to our lives. The jokes are just icing on the cake. I've been watching a lot of movies here (Good one thoughs). I just sensed that they will not go wasted, but they will aid me in my ministry(ies) in years to come. I love interpreting movies and putting it in layman's context, or incorporate it into our lives.
True love doesn't just wait, it plans....
The above statement holds true for all situations. And for me, it speaks about me and my beloved and elegant 6-stringed beauty.. I've already planned what to do with her after I got her.
Deep thoughts.. |

I get the most insightful revelation in the bathroom, toilets and all the unexpected places. Ha ha. I was just helping out in the cafe today while at church and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Serving God is such a privilege. And that led me to ponder about a few things and the complains that I have been getting from people from different walks of life. Before we complain about being pressurized to serve, as God's child, we do need to examine our hearts. Didanyone really pressurized us into serving in the first place? or is it that our hearts have grown cold?
Serving God is just like a relationship. Some people are unwilling to serve in "small" ministries that are less glamorous and only want to be in the leadership and worship team (That's good, don't get me wrong). We won't outrightly say that we do not want to serve, but we will garner every excuse to escape responsibility. It's the same analogy in a relationship/ marriage. If we love someone, we will do whatever it takes to love the person, unconditionally. It sounds confusing using these two out of the world analogy. Take for instance if the parents of our other half is sick, will we not take the sick parents to consult a doctor , or will we tell our other half that it's only he/she that we love, and nothing else? Same with God, when there's a lack in the a not so glamourous ministry(Probably like ushering, cafe, etc...), will we be volunteer to serve? Or will we tell God that we only want to worship Him and nothing else? Serving God is a privilege. Ministry will become a burden when our hearts are cold. The same analogy in a relationship with humans. When we do not have love for people, we will be calculative about how much we have sacrificed to love this person rather than loving him/her for who he/she is. If we love God, we'll love everything associated with Him. Complaining is like a red alert button that signals us to check our hearts.
I've really found the joy in serving God, and caught something out of serving today. From setting up all the chairs and tables, to cleaning up the church and doing cafe (Even if it's only for one day for the latter). We've got to know that serving God is a privilege. There are too many excuses people can use for not able to serve. I was once guilty of that, for sure. However, nothing can stop us, when our we love God. Not even technology. Yeah. We cannot say that technology has prevented us not to be able to serve God. If it is, the people before the 1900s won't be able to serve at all. Technology basically quickens everything up, that's all.
So folks. Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul and all your strength. ~ Deuteronomy 6:5.
Hope this has been inspiring....

[Oct. 2nd, 2007|11:12 am] |
Hi Guys..
I've been kicking and alive. Ha ha. Bond University is awesome. Already in my fourth week of my course and workload is piling!
I just had my marketing quiz this morning and I hope it's good, and it seemed good. Even though I'm here in Aussie, I feel so near to people in Singapore. I've been listening to sermons from HoGC over and over again.
We're at the prime of our lives! Ha ha. I'm enjoying my life here. Not just relaxing or what, but i enjoy being hardworking, and the people here.
I just went to a O'Reilly's mountain last Saturday with Michael Abbot and some church people. It was just awesome. Ha ha. I'll be posting some pictures on Facebook. Yeah. it's nice yeah? |

The Rankins are back. Ha ha.
I'm feeling satiated. Sometimes I just felt that we want to do good things, but we will instead do the exact opposite. The bible echoes this too!
Romans 7:19-20 "For the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice. 20 Now if I do what I will not to do, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me."

| | Everytime - a1 | ] | Had School from 10a.m. - 6p.m. Really a long and tired day. Is it good to be jack of all trades, but master of none? Or just a master of one, but know nuts about every other thing? This is debatable.. I guess.
My thigh muscles are really building up from cycling. I actually crashed my bike onto a tree one day. The fact is that I was really clear that the tree was in front of me, but I just didn't have the strength to turn right and avoid it. Instead, I crashed head-on to it. Ha ha. I was just laughing at myself while I crashed onto it.
FYI, There are no burger king in Queensland, instead, they're called Hungry Jacks. Ha ha. There's a long story behind this actually.
Got a letter from Dinnie. Thanks sis! Yeah. Also for the bookmark. I would write a letter if I have the time, else, I'll just email.
Going to clear my stuff now. Cya guys. Learned Spanish from some friends today. That's awesome. ha ha.
adios! Bryan Yee....XX |

We do not live to please everyone in life. Just have be cool in certain situation. Our lives revolve only around "I am".
Please get well soon, my friend. J Quek...
i had C-Group yesterday at Ben's house. We watched Reign over me..This movie starred Don Cheadle, Adam Sandler and the ever beautiful Liv Tyler (From Lord of the Rings!) It was a sad movie, but I just couldn't contain my laughter at some parts of the show. Adam Sandler is really talented I should say! Ha ha.
This Saturday I'll be going for a Church camp.. Which is called "mates" Encounter. ha ha. Quite funny though. Pst Richard Green will be there! Wow. I think it'd be awesome...
